About The Role

The Role

We are looking for candidates to join our Large and Complex Injury Team. In this role, you will be working as part of a niche team that deals with defending high value claims, involving Claimants with life changing injuries such as brain and nerve damage, significant psychiatric problems, fractures, chronic pain cases amongst a variety of other injuries.

We are instructed by one of the largest motor insurers in the UK and pride ourselves in our client service and technical expertise.

The ideal candidate will have completed a law degree/GDL/LPC, and will have previous file handling experience or worked in the insurance industry. Whilst experience and qualifications are desirable, above all we hire based on potential; if you are enthusiastic and want to learn and develop within an exciting and niche area of law, we are able to offer you the training to succeed.

The Main Duties:

As an assistant in the Large and Complex Injury Team, you will:

  • Undertake direct communication with third parties on the telephone in a professional and effective manner
  • Update information into the case management system as requested
  • Draft court documents and applications
  • Attend court hearings and client conferences
  • Take client statements and review medical/employment/dwp records
  • Assist Fee Earners with chasers and post
  • Assist with the efficient running of the office generally
  • Undergo regular supervision with your line manager along with our open communication policy, receiving day-to-day support
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Partnership as requested
  • Complete MI and understand the Client’s  Service Level Agreements.

The Firm

Our full time hours are 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7 hours per day working flexible hours.
