About The Role
The Finance department is based in our Manchester office with the majority of our Business Services teams. However, with the firm embracing working from home, the FD does not have to be based in Manchester.
Reporting to the COO, the Finance Director will lead the Finance department to accelerate top and bottom line growth and drive the delivery of strategic finance initiatives, whilst ensuring an industry-leading finance offering is provided across the business. Leading a team of up to 25 the FD will apply proven commercial acumen to provide business intelligence and reporting to measure business performance and drive growth strategies.

It is essential for the Finance Director to work in close partnership with the senior leadership team; contributing to the overall leadership, management and governance of Horwich Farrelly. Alongside financial responsibility, this role has broad operational scope and influence and would be well suited to someone looking to make an impact in the strategy of a successful and evolving law firm.

The Finance department is responsible for all financial and accounting activities including management accounts, financial planning & analysis, billing, payables, cashiers, credit control and payroll.

Personal Specification
 The ideal candidate
  • Experienced Finance Director, a Qualified Accountant – ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA, with a background preferably in legal services or the insurance sector.
