We are currently recruiting the position of Senior Legal Cashier based in the Payables Team of our Accounts department at Alexander House in Old Trafford. The successful applicant will support the Payables Team Supervisor, assisting them in the distribution or work and supervision of the team in addition to their current duties.

Main responsibilities:

  •  Processing of financial transactions using our accounts package SOS for both Client and Office ledgers
  •  Management of invoices and other transaction documentation
  •  Involvement in receipt and processing of daily banking routines
  •  Dealing with volumes of internally generated cheque requests
  •  Administration and management of purchase ledger transactions for both Client matter and Office related expenses
  •  Providing timely information to other members of the Accounts team and the wider firm
  •  Dealing with queries from outside the department and maintaining a good working relationship inside and outside of the firm

Other responsibilities:
 
  • Monitoring of bank transaction using the online banking facility
  • Involvement in daily bank reconciliation
  • Assistance in administration of petty cash and firm credit card transactions
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
 
 
 
Personal Specification
 Person Specification:
 
  • Minimum of 2 years prior Accounts team experience, preferably with legal background
  • Excellent attention to detail and exception organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate output
  • Team player with ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
