About The Role

The Talent Acquisition team supports Horwich Farrelly to recruit the very best talent into the business. We are looking for a Talent Coordinator who is passionate about helping people to find a job they will love and play a part in helping someone take the next step in their career. The role is varied, from running assessment centres for legal graduates, to promoting our Talent initiatives on Instagram to attending networking events to gain market insight. The role will report into the Talent Acquisition Partner, whilst full support and training will be provided, there will be the opportunity to be involved in project work which feeds into the overall Talent Acquisition strategy. 

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous recruitment experience gained either in house or within a recruitment agency. Whilst previous legal or professional services experience would be desirable, above all we are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of managing a variety of job roles at various levels of seniority. The Talent Acquisition team pride themselves on providing an excellent recruitment service to the Firm which means it is essential for the Talent Coordinator to build strong relationships with managers supporting them throughout the recruitment process and providing guidance when required.

The Talent Acquisition team sits within the People department.  The People department is filled with HR and Learning and Development professionals working in an engaging and friendly environment. Main Responsibilities

  • To effectively manage recruitment administration under the day to day direction of the Talent Acquisition Partner
  • To take ownership for all volume recruitment including Legal Support, and Paralegal roles and to run niche recruitment campaigns across a range of specialisms when needed
  • To provide an excellent recruitment service to hiring managers within the business and to be the first point of contact for hiring managers and agents for designated roles
  • Developing internal relationships with the hiring managers and other relevant stakeholders
  • Advertise roles internally and externally on various recruitment advertising mediums including the company website, job boards and LinkedIn
  • Assist in proactive sourcing and effective use of candidate pools via LinkedIn
  • Ensure talent initiatives are promoted on the firm’s social media channels
  • To efficiently manage candidate applications and ensure all candidates receive a timely response regarding the progress and outcome of their application
  • To conduct initial pre-screening telephone interviews
  • To take responsibility for arranging interviews: including coordinating the diaries of internal interviewers and candidates alike, booking meeting rooms and ensuring presentations and various equipment is set up
  • To coordinate and run Assessment Centres for legal and administrative roles
  • Liaise with the HR Administration team with regards to offer of employment information and to ensure offers are sent out to new starters in a timely manner.
  • Ensure candidate start dates are effectively communicated to all relevant parties and hiring managers
  • To provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful candidates following an interview
  • To liaise and build relationships with the firms preferred supplier agencies
  • Maintain and keep the recruitment statistics up to date and accurate
  • To provide support to the Talent Acquisition Partner on recruitment related projects
  • To assist the Talent Acquisition team in achieving the firms time to hire and direct hire target for the year


Personal Specification
  • Previous in house or agency recruiting experience, gained within a fast paced and professional environment (legal would be desirable but not essential)
  • Extensive full life-cycle recruiting experience from drafting job descriptions, to posting jobs online, to screening applicants, and interviewing candidates
  • Strong sourcing skills on LinkedIn, job boards and other Social Media.
  • Familiarity with a wide array of sourcing strategies and tools.
  • A creative thinker that can come up with new and innovative solutions.
  • Analytical mind, focused and dedicated with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Exercises professional judgement and maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent MS Office skills – Excel, Outlook, Word
