About The Role

The basic purpose of the job and its primary objectives

To support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partner with the firm’s management reporting, financial reporting and financial compliance.

Main responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to include flash packs, billing reports, locational reporting, monthly financial board packs
  • Preparation of accurate monthly balances sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of annual financial accounts
  • Assisting with internal reporting, results commentary and any queries from legal services and business services teams
  • Cash flow forecasting, working closely with credit control and purchase ledger
  • Further development and maintenance of the firm’s 5 year plan
  • Lead on the firms audit
  • Provide support to the Finance Business Partner with the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasting
  • Work closely with the Finance Operations Manager to improve processes and procedures between the operational teams and the management accounting teams
  • Ad-Hoc projects as required

Essential skills/qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Significant previous experience of Management and Financial Accounts preparation
  • Proven record of process implementation and improvement
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Experience of the legal sector desirable but not essential
