About the Role

Due to growth, we’re looking for a dedicated Complex & Catastrophic Injury Solicitor within our compassionate and dynamic Motor & Casualty team, Southampton.

What will you be doing?

You will manage pre and post litigation claims involving large loss with high value cases from £250k up to £5 million, including indemnity disputes, liability and quantum. The team specialises in handling cases involving serious accidents and life-changing injuries, including complex injuries, brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations predominantly following motor accidents.

Your role will be extremely varied, one day you’ll be conducing case assessment and client consultations, the next investigation and evidence gathering, through to preparing court documents and court representation.

To ensure that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, you will develop good client relationships from the outset by providing clear, practical advice and ongoing support and communication throughout the entire process.

What do I need?

Ideally, we are looking to hear from Legal Executives or Qualified Solicitors with at least 2 years’ experience in large loss claims. You will be qualified (2 years PQE) and well versed in managing a caseload of high value RTA Multi-track and/or Fast Track claims.

You will need to have effective communication skills with the resilience to handle highly sensitive and emotionally charged cases, therefore a deep sense of empathy is essential to uphold an unwavering commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, always acting in the best interest of clients.

Whilst we do offer hybrid, flexible working, you will be required to work from our office in Whiteley for 2-3 days per week (including Wednesday and Thursday). You will then be able to work from home, if you choose to, for the remainder of the week.
