At Horwich Farrelly we do things differently. We recognise the value of our employees and understand that they set us apart from our competitors. So, if you want to experience what life is like as a lawyer at Horwich Farrelly, join us on our Summer Vacation Scheme in 2022.
What will you be doing?
Horwich Farrelly’s Vacation Scheme gives you the opportunity to spend two weeks within our acclaimed Counter Fraud and Credit Hire departments, whilst also gaining some exposure to Motor & Casualty, Costs and Commercial & Corporate. Depending on Government COVID- 19 Safety Guidelines at the time we are hopeful the schemes will be able to take part in our office; however if restrictions are in place, the scheme will be facilitated virtually.
You will be provided with a blend of work demonstrating the day-to-day life of our lawyers such as a mock trial, commercial awareness training and presentations from our Partners. We want you to understand how we work to defend cases for our clients so you will be provided with invaluable exposure as to how the departments operate. You will have the opportunity to speak with experienced lawyers and gain an insight into what it is actually like to progress becoming a Trainee Solicitor at Horwich Farrelly.
What’s in it for you?
It isn’t all work and no play though! We will provide you with professional development sessions as well as social activities. Horwich Farrelly aims to recruit a high percentage of the scheme’s participants, so this is a real chance for you to shine and start a successful career in law. It is also worth noting that our training contracts are only available to current Horwich Farrelly employees so there is no chance of external competition!
This is what former participant, Elizabeth, now a Solicitor, says about the Scheme
“I had a place on the Vacation Scheme in Summer 2017. This was my first insight into working in a law firm and gave me the opportunity to work in two different departments in HF. I was able to see what a working week consisted of and assisted with daily tasks. It gave me a lot of confidence as everybody was really friendly and helpful. After the Scheme I was offered a job which has helped me secure a training contract and qualify as a solicitor.”
